Chloride und Phoenixtec eröffnen gemeinsame USV-Fertigung
Shenzhen, China (18th February 2008) -- Chloride Group, a world leader in Secure Power Solutions listed on the London Stock Exchange, today opened a jointly-owned manufacturing facility in China with Phoenixtec Power Company of Taiwan, a world leading manufacturer of uninterruptible power supply systems.
Located in Shenzhen, China, the facility will manufacture three-phase uninterruptible power supply products up to 200kVA to Chloride’s specifications. It is anticipated that the facility will employ approximately 300 people, by the time it reaches full production levels, anticipated to be in early 2009. This represents a significant step in Chloride’s supply chain strategy.

This joint-venture follows a 16 year relationship between Chloride and Phoenixtec dating back to 1992, reflecting Chloride’s faith in the quality of Phoenixtec’s production capabilities and their high levels of service.
Over 120 people attended the opening ceremony for the facility, including representatives from the British Consulate-General Guangzhou, employees, suppliers, partners and Directors of Chloride and Phoenixtec.
Keith Hodgkinson, Chief Executive of Chloride Group, who was present in Shenzhen for the official opening, commented:
