Occupational Healthy & Safety, Environmental, and Quality

Chloride acknowledges its responsibility towards everyone who is affected by the activities of the Company and is committed to the highest safety, quality, environmental and customer service standards.

Health & safety

In recognition of our high health & safety and environmental standards, Chloride maintains its own OHS Manual.

Field Service Engineers hold relevant industry-required certificates, such as General Induction for the Construction Industry Cards and Senior First Aid Certificates and participate in in-house training programs. Prior to the commencement of works, Field Service Engineers complete client-specific site induction/safety courses as required.

Environment

We have a commitment to conserving our environment with the disposal of all waste materials carried out in compliance with all local legislation through authorised discharge channels in order to recycle as much as possible and prevent any environmental impact.

All hazardous battery waste is handled in such a way as to allow the recycling of the lead and the prevention of acid dispersion into the environment.

Chloride voluntarily avoids the use of the substances specified in the EU RoHS Directive 'Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electronic Equipment' whenever it is certain that the operation and reliability of the UPS will not be compromised, despite UPS not being referred to in the directive. Chloride also meets and anticipates the standards specified in the WEEE Directive, setting a standard for the industry and maintaining its excellent environmental record.

Our environmental policy and management systems comply with ISO 14001 and Chloride continually strives to meet or exceed all national and international regulations to which we are subject.

Quality

All products are designed, manufactured, installed and maintained under a quality management system that complies with ISO 9001-2000.
