Chloride, which has also signed the European Code of Conduct for Energy Efficiency and Quality of AC UPS Systems, is very proactive in its approach to acknowledging its duty towards providing the highest level of environmental standards and encouraging environmental awareness. Not only does Chloride have an array of UPS solutions, complete with 'eco modes' for maximum power savings and sustainable development, but the company has also integrated flywheel and fuel cell technology to its UPS to provide completely 'green' AC battery alternatives. In addition, Chloride has actively committed to the RoHs Directive and to a zero waste testing policy whilst meeting the requirements of the WEEE Directive with regards to waste collection and recycling.
The Green Grid seeks to provide industry-wide recommendations on best practices, metrics and technologies that will improve overall data centre and business computing energy efficiencies. By joining The Green Grid, Chloride is helping influence both developers and end users of data centre technology.
