Chloride among the first to receive EU Customs certification
Chloride, a leading international supplier of secure power solutions, today announced that its Italian headquarters is among one of the first establishments to be recognised by the European Customs Authority as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). The voluntary certification comes after a decision by the European parliament to secure international supply chains and introduce a Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (in the USA).
Chloride was grated AEO status after undergoing a rigorous audit and application process in which it proved to be compliant, trustworthy, safe, secure and financially solvent.
This latest certification is an added benefit for Chloride customers who can now expect an even faster, more secure delivery with Chloride shipments being fast tracked through customs controls as a result of the compliance.
Although AEO status is not yet mandatory in the EU, Chloride is very proactive in acknowledging its duty towards providing the highest level of quality and service to its customers.
Gianluca Pugi, Vice President of Operations in Italy commented on the certification saying, “We are very proud that our logistics and customs operations have been recognised for their excellence. Our internal and external business processes are high on our list of priorities as we constantly strive to provide customers around the world the highest possible level of service.”
