Health and safety policy
Chloride is committed to safeguarding the health & safety of its employees and others affected by its activities.
Chloride policy is:
- To manage its activities so that no one is exposed to an unacceptable level of health & safety risk.
- To minimise the frequency and severity of H&S incidents.
- To commit to continuous improvement of H&S practice and performance.
All operations are required to:
- Protect the health & safety of employees, contractors, customers and others affected by their activities;
- Continually improve health & safety performance;
- Comply with applicable & safety legislation and regulations;
- Where appropriate, comply with recognised H&S standards.
The Board of Chloride is ultimately responsible for setting health & safety standards and policies. The Chief Officer reports to the Chloride Board on H&S performance and implements processes to manage and measure H&S performance. An H&S Committee assists the Chief Officer in assessing risk, setting detailed policies and monitoring performance through relevant and comparable key performance indicators. The directors/ managers are responsible and accountable for compliance with local H&S legislation and performance. In addition, all employees and managers have an obligation to contribute to H&S performance.
