Chloride introduces a new modular UPS system

MP-NET designed to lower total cost of ownership whilst providing high efficiency

New modular UPS system - MP-NETChloride, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and services, today announces the launch of the MP-NET, a modular and scalable UPS system, designed to support power systems of small data centres, networks, medical applications, banks and other financial institutions .  The MP-NET is the ideal solution to grow alongside an organisation’s evolving load requirements.  It also incorporates an ECO mode, which allows the UPS unit to minimise energy consumption over the full range, whilst providing a high conversion efficiency of up to 98%.

The MP-NET offers high standards of serviceability, flexibility and scalability, whilst providing a wealth of energy and space saving features, which will guarantee the user maximum availability of business critical systems. The MP-NET provides power ratings from 20kVA to 80kVA, through hot-swappable plug in modules that allow the deployment of additional modules while the system is online.

“Today’s businesses are seeking innovative solutions that will provide the scalability and flexibility to meet the constantly changing demands of power protection,” says Chloride’s Technical Support Manager, Rob Tanzer. “The MP-NET is a truly modular UPS system that has been designed to reduce running costs, whilst enabling organisations to future-proof their power protection requirements. Chloride is giving its customers the option to expand in their own time, safe in the knowledge they will always be able to efficiently manage their backup power requirements.”

The MP-NET also increases efficiency by achieving N+1 redundancy through an addition of a 20kVA module, as opposed to another UPS unit. This approach allows for minimal over-sizing and makes it the ideal choice for a smaller data centres and server rooms. This functionality makes the MP-NET an ideal solution for organisations wishing to lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) of their power protection infrastructure. Chloride’s MP-NET UPS system can be deployed to use only the necessary power, by adding or removing modules according to load requirements without sacrificing efficiency across all conditions.

“Not only is the MP-NET ideal for organisations looking to future-proof their power requirements, it provides a true hot-swap capability,” explains Tanzer. “This ensures that any modules can be replaced with the load still fully supported by the UPS. MP-NET allows the user to add security to the applications within their data centres and other mission critical applications, across a variety of industries.”
