Available in a range of power outputs (3 – 5 kW) and operating on hydrogen or methanol-water fuel, the IdaTech ElectraGen™ systems provide a choice of solutions for a diverse range of industries.
Chloride’s fuel cell integrated UPS uses IdaTech's direct hydrogen-fuelled ElectraGen family of backup power solutions, an alternative or addition to traditional battery powered systems for markets such as telecommunications, utilities, IT, public safety networks, and any application requiring high reliability, long lifetime, and sustainable unlimited autonomies.
IdaTech's ElectraGen backup power systems are based on a modular and scalable design and are ideal complementary applications for VRLA battery-only backup systems, providing ten or more years of higher system reliability at an attractive initial cost and low lifecycle cost.
A fuel cell solution with reformer technology could also be used as a substitute to generators thanks to the high autonomy (virtually unlimited) that it can give. This solution could then be used in any environment where strict pollution regulation are present, since no hazardous gases or substances are emitted by the fuel cell.
