Health & safety
In recognition of our high health & safety and environmental standards, Chloride is a certified member of the British Safety Council and is an accredited Safe Contractor.
All Chloride service engineers hold CCNSG safety passports and, prior to commencement of works, complete client-specific site induction/safety courses. Our engineers are fully qualified and equipped to work across some of the most demanding market sectors including: |

All engineers working on nuclear sites (active areas) are registered and have film badges. |

Doctors health certificate, P4 pass, classified workers pass, film badges. |

Doctors health certificate, BOSIET/FOSET, re-breather training, pre-flight briefing, platform induction. |

Site entry pass, fire awareness, safety on the track, QAF54, machine chamber access, lift and escalator sub-station awareness, site person in charge (SPIC), safe isolations. |

All engineers attending site have completed/approved MoD site clearance forms/passes. |
Environment
We have a commitment to conserving our environment with the disposal of all waste materials carried out in compliance with all local legislation through authorised discharge channels in order to recycle as much as possible and prevent any environmental impact.
All hazardous battery waste is handled in such a way as to allow the recycling of the lead and the prevention of acid dispersion into the environment.
Chloride voluntarily avoids the use of the substances specified in the EU RoHS Directive 'Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electronic Equipment' whenever it is certain that the operation and reliability of the UPS will not be compromised, despite UPS not being referred to in the directive. Chloride also meets and anticipates the standards specified in the WEEE Directive, setting a standard for the industry and maintaining its excellent environmental record.
ROHS certificate
Our environmental policy and management systems comply with EN ISO 14 001 and Chloride will continue to meet or exceed all national and international regulations to which we are subject.
Quality
All products are designed, manufactured, installed and maintained under a quality management system that complies with BS-EN ISO 9001-2000.
