Academy flourishes with new courses and students

Since the inauguration of the Chloride Academy on May 9, 2007, the course offerings continue to grow and enrolment increases with participants hailing from Chloride companies around the world.

The Academy continues to search for new initiatives which enhance the didactic program
and enable the results of this proven training method to be spread around the globe. The success of the Post-Sales and Pre-Sales courses are a testimony to the advantages provided by the Academy.

Focus on Post-Sales: 160 certifications presented to participants

For each unit, the Academy provides basic and advanced courses in the area of Post-Sales. Upon completion of each basic course, the trainee is able to successfully complete all tasks relating to the commissioning and routine maintenance on the unit discussed.
Upon completion of the advanced course, the trainee is able to manage the troubleshooting for that particular unit.
The blended learning method is used in these courses, which is comprised of the following:
• Distance-learning: using the material provided on the online platform, the trainer communicates with the students and answers their questions, providing support throughout the activities;
• Interim test: to be completed before the residential period in order to check the effectiveness of the training;
• Residential period: practical sessions on the units;
• Final Exam: to be completed for final certification.

Course material is continuously improved and up-dated and the method of course structure and organization has proved to be constructive and beneficial.
Using this material and structuring under the umbrella of the Academy, we now have the possibility to hold training courses closer to the students. Thus, the Academy is accrediting Training Areas and Trainers that will be able to host and lead Academy Courses locally.

The first Pre-Sales Advanced Course was successfully completed January 31, 2008, which boasted 11 participants who completed 9 weeks of distance learning and two residential periods in Bologna (one at the beginning and the other at the end of the course).
At the diploma ceremony, Massimo Tammaro, Commanding Officer of the Frecce Tricolori Italian acrobatic flying team, an emblem of Italian national pride, brotherhood and professionalism, was present to pass his congratulation to the students and spoke on the factors that must be addressed to create a first class team and manage it efficiently.
A worldwide symbol of Italy, the Frecce Tricolori are built on commitment, passion, tremendous team work and excellent organization. Commanding Officer Tammaro is indeed a person who believed in his dream to fly with the National Acrobatic Patrol, one which he achieved through commitment, sacrifice and dedication.
Tammaro transmitted to the Chloride employees this enthusiasm and passion required to reach any pre-set objectives. “The Frecce Tricolori are world ambassadors of human values, cultures, group spirit and friendship. They are a prime example of the highest level of organization and technology. Chloride is inspired by these identical values and we were honoured to have Commanding Officer Tammaro as our honoured guest for the ceremony,” stated Lamberto Tassara, President of Chloride’s UPS division.
