Signatories to the Code undertake to make every reasonable effort to achieve specified energy efficiency targets for new equipment. They must also encourage engineers and operators to adopt energy efficient practises and provide the European Commission with annual reports on the energy efficiency of the equipment covered by the Code of Conduct. This applies to all products which it sold into EU and EFTA countries in the preceding 12 months
Demands for environmentally friendly products and services are constantly increasing and, in signing up, Chloride has committed itself to meeting these challenges. Signing the Code of Conduct is further assurance that Chloride will continue to minimise the energy consumption of its UPS and increase levels of efficiency. Periodic audits conducted by the European Commission will confirm that the Code’s energy target levels are being met.
The initiatives that Chloride is taking to become more environmentally friendly are in tune with the ever increasing global awareness of the need to conserve energy.
