Hello to 186mph - St Pancras International

The new St Pancras International is now open, offering high-speed rail links to the continent and taking British rail travel into the 21st century. This stunning new station has attracted many visitors and is fast becoming a tourist attraction in its own right.

The vital power supply to this futuristic building is maintained by six 60 kVA 70-NET units in addition to a number of existing Chloride UPS situated in the Thameslink and London Underground sections of St Pancras.

St Pancras International

This installation continues our strong association with Network Rail in Britain and High Speed 1 – Chloride was also selected to protect the signalling and communications of the line between the end of the Channel Tunnel and St Pancras International– see KIP Issue 8 for the full article on this part of the project.
