About Chloride
Chloride, established over 100 years ago as a battery manufacturer and supplier acquired its first power protection company in the early 1970s. As the market changed and the focus of Chloride shifted from batteries to electronics, Chloride acquired additional companies and expanded the product range. In the late 1990s, Chloride sold its remaining battery business and made the transition to a pure power protection company.
Today, Chloride is a world leader and specialist provider of critical power solutions and services.
Chloride North America
May 11, 2007 marks the day in Chloride history where ONEAC Corporation and Chloride Power Protection unite as the North American Operating Unit of Chloride Group PLC.
ONEAC Corporation, purchased by Chloride Group in 1999 is a provider of single-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), power conditioners, communication line protectors and connectivity solutions. Purchased by Chloride Group PLC in 1989, Chloride Power Protection provides three-phase UPSs and monitoring services. Both ONEAC and Chloride Power Protection were founded in 1979.
